Ah . . . so that's what those two copper contacts are for on the back of the phone. Thanks for the heads up, will check my local Best Buy.

Same here, I always wondered what those contacts were for.
I can confirm that they are $2.99 - I was just at my local Best Buy, and the price tag says $2.99. No idea if this is permanent, or just a sale for the week/Xmas.
I decided against it, since I already have 2 chargers for my pearl (the 2nd one is from the BB's "official" bluetooth headset), and the charge stand would mean I'd have to take off the protective skin every time. $3 isn't much, but still... it's unneccesary in this case.

Well, I went to two of my local Best Buy stores and they were sold out. I would like to have a couple of them, maybe next time. But thanks for the info.

Got to thinking, the second store I went to is about 17 or 18 miles away. I had checked the Best Buy website before I went and after I got there and it showed that this store had them in stock. Next time I will call ahead and if they actually have an item in question I will ask that they pull it until I arrive. It would be worth a shot anyway, lesson learned.

How much is it total after tax?
That would depend on the sales tax of the city you're purchasing it from. It'd probably be $3.24 or so, give or take 7 cents (some cities have higher sales tax than others obviously).
