I was just looking at this and was interested in purchasing it, but it doesn't list the Curve 8330??
If the VM 605 can direct the audio from the phone call to the stereo speakers... you might try downloading the slacker.com app and routing the online radio through your car stereo. I have a Motorola bluetooth visor mount mic that sends my phone audio and slacker tunes through my stereo speakers via FM signal. Be warned, it's a battery eater. When I'm jamming to slacker tunes the phone almost always on the charger. Great feature, I think.
Be warned that the new BB Visor VM-605 may cut out with the fm signal. See my other post. I have only tried Pandora.

I was just getting ready to order one. I use Flycast and Slacker all the time. If they won't stream then I may have to look elsewhere.
I can't use Slacker as I am located in Canada.
But from what I have read, people are using Pandora with no problems. I on the other hand have not been sucessful.
I will keep you posted,
Thank you very much
Here's the RIM link.
I want one a dese BlackBerry - Bluetooth Visor - Bluetooth Handsfree Speakerphone at BlackBerry.com
but does it work with the curve 8330
Got mine yesterday. Works great; no complaints.

Does anyone have XM satellite radio built into the car audio system? We have used FM transmitters in the past and get a ringing noise no matter what FM station. I am not saying that it is the XM that is causing it. I just want to be sure that it will work before I buy it. I already have a Motopure H15 earbud but sometimes it is a pain to remember to wear it.
Does anyone know if you can remove the visor clip? I have a center console on my saturn and it would be perfect there for the fm transmitter, very close to the radio, thanks.
I should be getting mine this week.:D
I drive all over the State of Kansas. I will be more than happy to post my review after I have had it for a couple of weeks. We will see just how good this puppy works.
I have purchased three of these over the past week and recommended it to a relative. I am pretty impressed with this speakerphone. It does seem to have a weak fm transmitter compared to my sirius satellite radio. I don't think that is such a bad thing. A stronger fm transmitter could potentially be picked up by nearby vehicles. Not bad for slacker radio but not a good thing for personal phone calls. It was powerful enough to use slacker radio and produces excellent call quality through my truck's stereo. The visor clip is removable.
I have had a VM-605 Blackberry Speakerphone for about a month now. It was originally paired with my BB 8830. It worked fine; calls worked well as did the FM Transmitter for Music or Stereo calls.
I recently upgraded to a BB Tour. At first it paired fine. Then during playback of music there was a "playback error" - shown on phone in BB Media. Since then, I have had an issue with the device. I was not using Pandora or Slacker, just playing back music on my SD card.
Now when I place a call, after confirming the party I am calling, the device immediately states "Call Ended". The call still goes through. At the end of the call, I now have to hang up manually via the BB Tour. I cannot hang up with the device and it does not say "Call Ended" at the end of a call.
Also, when I receive a call, it announces the number and then immediately announces "Call Ended" and disconnects the call. You would have to redirect the call from the handset to the Speakerphone.
The device was awesome, but I have reservations now.
My deepest apologies. After a few weeks of down time and some reconfiguring of my phone, I have gotten my VM-605 to work again. I can still not explain the bug above, which did occur, but it is working again (for now).
I heard a few bad things and would like anyone that owns one to chime in now that some time has gone by.
Things I have read and /or heard;
1. Definite hiss when using the FM transmitter on any station
2. If you are driving and NOT transmitting anything constantly through the radio it shuts down the FM connection... so if a call comes in you have to setup the FM again to answer the call.. by then the call has gone to voice mail...
3. Short battery life if not plugged in while using.
Please let me know what you think...
I got one of these today and so far in my driveway at least the fm transmission is horrible, listening to music sounds like a crappy copy of a copy of a cassette. It is full of static and when i move the transmitter it changes the static in it. This is in both a 2001 Honda Civic and a 2010 Pontiac G6. Both have normally functioning radios. If anyone has had this issue any help would be greatly appreciated.
Jabra Cruiser .. no problems at all. Clear as crystal with the fm transmit.
Re the Jaba Cruiser.... any issues with needing to change stations as you travel? I live in the North East and there are few spots on the dial that are free for my entire commute.
10 char.............
I've used mine for a month now too. It has incredible battery life...I use it for about 1.5 hrs daily and have only charged it once!
Call quality is tinny, I highly recommend using the FM transmitter to find a good station, since your car's speakers will have better results. The call quality deteriorates even further when you're talking to someone using their own BT headset/hands-free set.
There might be better ones out there in terms of call quality, but with BT hands-free devices, the capabilities are always limited.
Dear Razor. I have precisely the same.problem. I had it once before but can't recall what I did to fix it. Did it happen again and do you know the settings fix?
P
Just to keep the OP updated.
I can confirm that the VM-605 working seamlessly in conjunction with my BB Classic on OS 10.3.2.500 without any issues, FM transmission, BB map, GPS, music, and Assistent working with no problems at all.
Sadly the VM-605 is hard to get by this days, BlackBerry should keep on producing this unit which is a must have addition to any BB mobile
