I downloaded a small 3gp video clip to my Curve 8330 and I can watch it
and hear it without any problems. Is there a way to select this file as a
"phone ring tone" in one of the profiles ? in other words, when a phone
call comes in, it would play the video clip instead of a regular audio tone ?
From the setup screens it's not obvious if this can be done or not.. is there
    a way ?

    Thanks
    Orlando

I was thinking about this earlier! I miss this feature on my sprint blade :/
And also being able to set the videos as wallpaper. But I don't believe BlackBerry's support this unfortunately

Of course you can have videotones on the BB.

    I got mine at jamster.com

Sorry you will have to bear with me as I torture myself with how blackberries work so I will just draw a small comparison with my beloved Nokia N95

Within the N95, I only need to go to the ring tone settings and navigate to my mp4 files and select preview and ok, my video will now be selected as a ring tone.

My question is is this sort of functionality possible within BB, if not is there a 3rd party application which can do it?

I think I might have got a cheaper solution than Jamster.

Just rename your video file (mp4) to an .mp3 and then use the menu button to select it as a ringtone.

Try calling yourself to see if it worked, alternatively, go to your sound settings and try the settings
