- With shipping, handling and taxes, that's about what the thing will run. Just wondering if I'm throwing my money away if I order this. $40 is nearly what I paid for my Fuel BB Bold battery holster and it had a ton of extra benefits with that awesome battery. I'm used to paying $10-$20 for an OEM quality clip holster. Coupon code seidio10 works until Aug.3 but only for orders over $50... Anyway, I'd like some experienced Seidio OWNER inputs on these. I don't want anything BUT a clip holster. I like to holster my phone and clip the phone in my pocket (clip facing out) and not worry about losing it on the highway when I'm on my motor bikes. I already know I can find el-cheapo stuff on various junk seller sites and eBay. I'm looking for a quality clip holster that won't break right away and still allows it fit in my pocket. What'ya think?

- As much as I hate to have say it, it probably is.
I was in the same boat with my Curve. I was able to find the combo set a little cheaper on eBay $30 (and only because the Curve has been out seemingly forever). So I sucked it up and bought it.
While I have not tested every other case/clip combination out there, If I were buying the Tour today (still debating, but probably waiting for something with Wi-Fi) the Seido case and clip holster is the first thing I'd buy for it.
But I agree, that $40-50 price tag is hard to swallow. But I think their product is first rate and don't really know of anything else that offers what they do in terms of size and fit. Its small and doesn't add much to the overall size, it fits nice and tight in the case, and that fits nicely into the holster, which also works very well. The whole thing has put up with some very rough usage from me (I have broken more case/holsters than I can count) and this one has not failed my dreaded "getting out of the car and getting it snagged on the seat and/or seat belt test" like the others have.
There is my input, take it for what it's worth.Last edited by Billmanvl; 07-29-09 at 08:02 AM.
07-29-09 07:54 AMLike 0 - Thanks, it does help me jump off the fence. I know most of us have better things to do than to worry about what holster to buy. I know I do too. I was just a little awed by the price point on this thing when I got it in my shopping cart. I definitely don't mind spending a little more $ for a superior product that I'll get my use out of. Just wanted to be sure.
Thanks again,

If I were you I would wait a bit until more products are released. You'll probably be able to get a fuel case like you had for your bold.
Maybe buy one of the "el cheapo" ones until better options come out.07-29-09 08:25 AMLike 0 - Seidio products are expensive but the are worth it. Looking back on the products I purchased for my Curve, I spent over $100 in Seidio accessories alone. I am also very interested in the Seidio belt holster but like you, am pondering over whether it is really worth almost $40 to me. I also need to decide if I want to use a Innocase or not. Luckily Verizon carried virtually all the Seidio products for the Curve for about 6 months so I was able to purchase them from Verizon and use my 25% off discount plus the products were cheaper than from the online store. Decision....decisions....

07-29-09 08:55 AMLike 0 - I have mine on order and as soon as I get it I will give you a review of the holster clip. I have purchased the same seidio products for my last 2 phones (curve, storm) and wouldn't buy anything other then a seidio product. My friend has a curve with a cheap holster clip and its ruining his curve, the paint is coming off on the bottom because the clip is to hard.

They are expensive but of you're looking for a quality holster you wont be happy with anything else. Can other holsters get the job done? Sure. But none have the build quality of the Seidio.
The model coming out for the Tour is the new Spring Lock holster, which is an updated version of the Spring holster they had for all previous BB's. The difference is there is a locking feature ensuring that your BB won't accidentally fall out. I also like the soft lining on the inside of the holster which protects the face of your BB, a feature you won't find on other holsters.07-29-09 11:25 AMLike 0 - i have the siedio holster for the tour, and had it for my curve to,well worth the money.i hated the oem holster,to much bulk on your belt.the fit and quality are great, wished i had it the other night when i was fighting to get my tour out of the oem holster and dropped it causing some damage.i will more than likely also order up the innocase/holster combo when it becomes available.if you get the tour, order the holster, you won't be dissapointed.and like irish452 said, its got an updated spring lock feature which is a cool feature, and it works.07-29-09 01:13 PMLike 0
- or there is a cheaper version holster here:

Thanks again for the input. I'm going to get this thing on order before my lunch is up. Like I said, I don't mind paying a little for quality. Looks like I'll be happy with it. BTW, I'd buy it from Crackberry if they offered it in their store. I need to get it on its way before my phone starts taking drops. I'm not the easiest handler of my equipment.Last edited by bigwill5150; 07-29-09 at 01:40 PM.
07-29-09 01:32 PMLike 0 - I have the seidio holster for the tour. I have had them for the mogul, 8330, and now the tour. That should speak to how much I like them. My only issue with this iteration is when removing the tour from the case I have been hitting the mute button. I do left side carry so people doing right side carry would be hitting the lock button. Not a big deal I just need to adapt to the new hardware.07-29-09 02:38 PMLike 0
- i don't have a skin on my tour, wish i did since i dropped it the other night, but from what i've read about the phantomskin, you won't have to remove it to put it in the holster.07-30-09 02:43 AMLike 0
- can someone post additional pics of their tour in the seidio clip and provide a review on the new lock clip.. do u now need two hands to place and remove the phone from the clip .. how does that new lock feature on the clip work ... i had the clips for my previous phone but now they have this new technique going which will prevent the phone from popping out07-30-09 07:08 AMLike 0
- why does it look like there is a gap behind the screen and the case... it is not flush up against it ??07-30-09 01:58 PMLike 0
- yes there is a gap,it doesn't sit flush with the back.i think this is because of the design of the new lock setup?but i've had it a few days and its been holding up as good as the one for my curve did,and i still think its the best holder i ever owned.07-31-09 04:10 AMLike 0
- I also have this holster and it's the third device I've bought this style case for. I love that it's low profile...more so than others I've seen. I also like that you can lay the phone down with clip up and no part of your phone will contact the surface it's laying on. I also love the face iin design. It unclips out smoothly but I have never had it come out unexpectedly. I like that I'm removing it and able to see who's calling as I bring it toward my ear. And call me crazy, but the "snap" it makes when putting your device in is very "comforting". It"s smooth and you just know it's secure.
Having said all that, the holster I got for the Tour doesn't have quite the same "snap" sound. I feel like it's just the slightest bit "off", however it IS secure. I just wish it sounded like the last 2 devices I've bought the holsters for. The other two we're more "insulated" sounding. I wonder if anyone else has noticed this.
I believe this holster is worth the money. It protects the most important part of the phone...the face. I can always buy a new battery cover. Oh, I've bought a "similar" holster from ebay before and it was not the same. Very cheap feeling and the "spring" clip on Seidio's makes ALL the difference.
