- Yes, but that battery only last 15% more then the stock battery. If you want great battery life, get the Seidio 2600 battery
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com05-22-10 06:04 PMLike 0 - yes but he wants a battery that fits the 9650..
if you are going to suggest car batteries at least indicate that cases and skins wont fit and that he needs a new battery cover ..oh and that the phone will look like a brick
05-22-10 06:26 PMLike 0 - incorrect. The 2600 battery adds only 3mm to the back of the phone, and there are cases that fit with the battery as well. Seidio makes cases for the 2600 battery as well. I use it and would not know what to do without that battery05-22-10 06:28 PMLike 0
- *incorrect* umm nope..
I was trying to be flip.. but was, in fact, correct...
3mm is 21% larger, you need a different battery cover and many cases will no longer fit.
why not simply admit you totally glossed over the fact that the phone dimensions CHANGE.. just tell people of the full impact of your sage advice...which was to buy a battery that is designed for, but requires modification, to fit the 9650 ?

I had gotten a Seidio for my Nexus when I had it... jump was only from 1400 to 1600... and frankly, for $50, it was quite dissappointing... was really noticeable... batt life still sucked...
so wondering if the 1700 is really any major jump from the stock 1400 DX-1... which I already don't have battery life issues or have yet to run out of juice at inopportune time...05-26-10 03:21 PMLike 0 -
- You will notice about a 15% increase in the life. Personally it will be enough to make it through the VERY long days for me, since my battery now already lasts me a full day. I charge every night which doesnt bother me personally.06-13-10 03:40 PMLike 0
- I used the Seidio 1600MaH battery in the 9630 and it afforded me approximately 3-4 additional hours of usage.06-13-10 03:46 PMLike 0

I've tried a so-called OEM from eBay, but it doesn't fit properly. Ends up being really tight and it's a pain to get out when I'm swapping packs on a long day.
How does the Seidio compare for size? With the original battery, I just cradle it in my hand and bang it against my leg and it just pops right out. Can I expect the same from the Seidio or is it going to be jammed in?
If your 3 to 4 hours is accurate compared to a fresh battery, then that would be perfect for my usually 18-20 hour days. Right now I'm maybe getting to 8 or 9 hours if I'm lucky.06-15-10 10:20 AMLike 0 - Within a month of getting the Tour, I got the higher capacity battery. The Seidio seems to fit just like the OEM does. I generally remove the battery by [gently] smacking the phone against my 'cupped' hand. Ninety percent of the time, it falls out on the first whack.
Keep in mind, I'm referencing the Seidio 1600mAh. I don't know how the 1700mAh fits. I just ordered it and it should be here tomorrow. After I receive and install the battery, if it should fit differently, I'll post advising of such.06-15-10 11:19 AMLike 0 - I have the 1700 coming soon too. I have been using the 2600 battery for over a year now, but getting tired of only having 2 cases that fit with that battery. I hear good things about the 1700 battery from Seidio, so if it adds 4-5 more hours a day, then that would be great!06-16-10 02:02 PMLike 0

This is the only extended style that will fit in the battery door that came with the device. You may find knock off brands, but I'd never trust em.

That big battery does look interesting, though. I'm just using the blackberry case that comes with the Bold for now. It ain't bad at all, I've never bought an aftermarket case for a phone. Glad to know the Seido battery will fit.06-16-10 06:47 PMLike 0
