I'm using the holster that came with my 9700 for my shiny new 9800. But it seems when I put the phone into the holster it doesn't shut off the screen. Did I miss a setting somewhere?
No. The magnets don't align properly. I am using my 9700 holster until the OEM Torch ones are released next month. I lock the screen before putting it in the holster.

Nope, the magnet does not line up properly so there's no settings to fix this. You'll have to wait for a case that is specifically made for the Torch to come out (hopefully soon).
In the meantime you can push the "lock" button before putting it into the case or you can get a locking app (which will do it automatically) like "Pattern Lock".

Thanks! I didn't know if the holster would work with this phone or not and I hadn't been paying that close attention when holstering it until now. Its habit to lock it before holstering it anyway.
ATT has a holster that works and the best thing is its only 5$ purchased 2 tonight from my local bestbuy. ITs just a leather holster but it works for now.
I ordered the OEM leather top loader for a S2. When my phone comes in tomorrow, I will let everyone know how it does. I did read on this board that it should work from others that are using the same holster.

No difference between the S1 and S2 when it comes to cases -- they are the same size (the S2 is a couple of ounces heavier). I have the pleather OEM pocket for the Storm and it works/fits fine, although I now regret getting pleather so I've ordered the leather version as well as the leather Storm holster (which a number of folks are already using with the Torch).

Nice! My S1 holster is good as new.. and I'm sure it will love the feeling of the Torch inside it..

Shopcrackberry now has the OEM holster available and for $15 cheaper than RIM does as well. I ordered mine and it stated that I should have it by Friday.
