My cousin gave my girlfriend a Blackberry 9700 and she is loving it so far. However many of the ringtones and sounds are super distorted and they really sound like crap. Not all of them sound bad, but most of them do. I tried upgrading the OS and that didnt fix it, I also tried installing old ringtones and that didnt do anything either.
Has anyone heard of this problem? And if so is there a way to fix it? Should i wipe and reload the OS using BBSAK? Thanks in advance!
I would recommend setting the ringtones at a lower volume level, as it appears to be way too high.
If that doesnt so anything, a wipe and reload won't either. You might need to take it in for a warranty repair if the, assuming this is likely, the speaker is fried and needs to be replaced.
