ring tone problems pls help!

hi all :)
i have been trying to change my custom ringtones on my 8900 but ever since it updated to 5.2.0 i cant. when i click profiles/set ringtones/browse... it shows my albums in the media card folder fine but 90% of these folders show up empty?! ive tried all i can think of including formatting MS and syncing music back but it doesnt make any difference.

also my wife has the 8520 curve and she has exactaly the same problem but she never used to either?!!

any help would be greatfull
