Does anyone know if I can use a Motorola razr car charger to charge my 8100? It's got the same mini usb connector.

Wife got a new replacement Razr from AT&T the other day and they included the charger. It said on the insert that it would work alot of BB's and the 8100 is on that list........ I use it in my car on my 8310 all the time.

Don't let any of the internet fear mongering scare you. If the plug fits in the device, it will charge it properly.

The BB is a high draw device, so it may charge slightly slower on a non-BB charger. But seriously, I have so many mini-USB cables lying around that I don't even remember what device they came with. They all work, and all work well.

I used the Razr car charger on my 8310 the day I got it so I could charge it on the way home. That was back in late November and if I am in the car and need a quick charge, I use it and have had no problems battery or charge related on my 8310 at all.

One of the few that I would trust. Many car chargers are not
voltage regulated for USB use and many a device has been
fried by putting 13.2 volts into a 5 volt device.

Motorola chargers wok fine with BlackBerrys.

i've used a non-blackberry charger on my blackberry and it charges fine, but i do notice that the battery drains out a little faster. but, since you're just looking for a quick pick-me-up charge versus the charge for the whole day, it should be fine
