what are all these custom icons with the number next to them in the notification area (like berryweather)?

it's an app called batteryex, can be found here:

* there's a free version, but i don't know the options on that

Hi! That's a function of BeWeather or BerryWeather. It allows you to put a thermometer on the home screen with the temp.

I can't find that option so it must be for the paid version only.

Open the program, go to Setting/Homescreen/Notification Icon/All the way to the bottom there is a check box for Show temperature icon in notification area. If you check that, you get the thermometer.

Don't know if it is dependent on the free or paid as I have the paid. Well worth the $ IMHO.
