I've noticed that the case that was used for the Bold 9000 is also good size for the Torches (both since they are the same size). With one of those hard shells/cases on the outside it makes a better fit.

I put a friend's 9800 in my holster for my 9700. It did fit, but the phone did not shut off (magnet wasn't lined up right or something). Just something to consider.
You are better off with either an OEM holster for the Torch. As I mentioned in another post, there is the Otterbox Commuter case in a compatible holster.

After using the 9800 I have to get a case, i have dropped my phone multiple times because it is slippery for some reason. Luckily it fell in grass everytime and not pavement. I bought a cheapo REIKO 3 dollar black case, best investment ever lol.
I'm not too pleased about the OEM case. The quality is definitely not as good as the case for my 9700. I looked at the Otterbox Commuter series, but I need a storage case, not a case like a skin. I need something that has a belt clip and is simply a place to put my phone on my person when I'm not using it. Both OEM cases for my Bold 9000 and 9700 did this nicely!
The search continues....if anyone has any idea, feel free to comment!
Try the AGF GRT case best one I've tried.
I have the Torch case and it feels slimmer than the one for the 9700. Less bulky.
I love it.
