- heres a few pics of my storm 9550 in my defender. ya the screen and the back look a bit greased, but i was eating chips and watching lie to me lol. the defender is the best case hands down. i've accidentally dropped my storm 2 a few times (once from the hip on solid concrete) with out anything happening to the device. holster works great and holds on to it nice and tight. definatly a great investment.06-08-10 02:02 AMLike 0
- I love mine. I am a volunteer firefighter and have broken many phones on calls or just workin around the station. I have dropped my S2 from my side while on top of one of the trucks and it hit the concrete floor and just bounced. It is an inexpensive investment for anyone!!06-08-10 09:06 AMLike 0
- best investment i had made for this phone, found one at a local store here so i didnt have to wait and it was on 29.99 and yes it is the the defender , i dunno why they sold it to me so cheap but i have not had any issues with it06-08-10 09:09 AMLike 0
- I just got an off brand "gel" case for a storm1 from Big Lots for $5. Had to use a hole punch to widen the charging cutout and the bottom speaker hole but works like a charm. It's not the flimsy, rubbery gel case that Verizon sells for $15 and tears easily if you take it on/off too many times. This thing is thick and fits my S2 like a heavy glove that needed a new hole punched in it, lol. Haven't dropped it from a fireladder, but I've never been on one either.06-08-10 01:47 PMLike 0

- yea i just got my defender case from amazon too and for the same price i picked the free shipping and it took about 2 day to get to Texas. I was so ecstatic when i got mine since I've wanted one for so long and so far i'm enjoying it, its done everything it was supposed to do. I even throw my phone on the ground occasionally just to shock people, lol this guy saw me "drop" it and he was like "damn man there goes your phone", because i dropped it down a flight of stairs. i just walked down picked it up and continued using it he was just shocked his face was like
lol he thought that it was the phone itself, so i spent like 15 minutes explaining to him the powers of the otterbox lol
btw after i explained the otterbox defender case to him he asked if it was bulletproof06-09-10 12:38 AMLike 0 - I want to get one of these but I have heard a few people say that it can fall out of the holster quite easy. My phone gets banged around when it's on my belt so I am kind of leery. Also, I have read that you can't really feel when the phone is on vibrate while it's in the belt clip. Can anyone comment on this?

- I have not had a problem with mine falling out of the belt clip. It has happened to a friend of mine because of what he says "My love handles hit it when I lean over to pick something up". So he turns the phone sideways. As for the vibration, I can't feel mine vibrate while it is the belt clip. It is an awesome case, but a little bulky. There is no telling how many times it has saved my Storm2 tho'.06-09-10 10:00 AMLike 0

- Well my case just got her from Amazon! I was soo excited to open it.
I was a little unsure at first how to disassemble the case so I watched a review of somebody on YouTube putting it on and found out the silicon outside cover just peels off and then the two hard plastic pieces slide together. I just didn't want to break anything trying to get the pieces apart so I was careful. I really like the how it feels now when its in my hand. It feels a lot more durable and rugged.
The only problem I had putting it together was with the damn screen cover.I hate those things with a passion. I can never seem to get them. I guess my mistake though was also putting the screen cover on before I put my phone in the case, I think that is how it is supposed to go in order. Hard Shell > Silicon Cover > Screen Protector. I just ordered another 3 pack from Amazon because I'm going to try again tomorrow. You can see in the picture I got a big air bubble in the bottom and a little one in the top right.
To address the falling out of the belt clip, for the few hours I have had mine, it sits pretty sturdily in the clip. I can't imagine it falling out just accidentally out of nowhere. It takes a little effort to take it out.
To address the vibrate, you can't really feel it as well if it were just in your pocket or like my old hip case. I can feel it slightly still and can also hear it vibrate if your not in a really busy/loud room or area.
My uploads failed to go here so I put them on Photobucket:
