there are very good pictures on otterbox.com. I purchased it from them because too many are trying to unload 9630's for the 9650. I bought the commuter. It is very nice, and comes with a very clear screen protector. You don't even know its there. I found a code online that gives 10% off and free shipping.

otterbox coupon codes. Find and share coupons, discounts and promotion codes for otterbox.

I wonder if the commuter case works with the seidio spring clip holster like the 9550 I have does? If so that is the way to go for a case and holster option.

So you had a 9550 commuter case and a seidio clip that housed the innocase berry and it fit?

Ohh this is good news. I want a belt clip for this commuter real bad. Mine is coming in on wednesday.

Thanks! How do you like the case? Do you think it's too thick?

Anyone else want to post photos of their Otterbox on the 9650?

Yes I use it with my storm 2 as we speak. If you don't activate the lock it can come out, but as long as I lock the clip my 9550 works perfectly!

What do you guys think of the added bulk? Significant?

Also, it is easy to remove for charging cradles, etc.?

The added bulk for me isn't a problem. I think it gives a little more bulk and makes it more comfortable to hold. As for taking it on and off isn't bad, but I find it easier not to. Getting the plastic clip back over isn't hard, but also it isn't that easy either to keep a tight fit.

The 9630 case does fit the 9650, BUT, the charging port can not be used. While the port being moved that little bit did not affect the Defender case, it does affect the Commuter.

Wife got me a Commuter for Father's Day (yeah it's early but I'm leaving on a business trip tomorrow) and this thing is as close to perfect a case as I've had. I've been through at least six cases and found something to dislike about them all, but this one is awesome. As far as bulk, it makes the device feel more substantial but I wouldn't describe it as "bulky". Feels very nice.

How is the screen protector that it comes with? Should I order a screen protector from Crackberry or is it of similar quality?

Ordered mine, can't wait for it to ship!

I had the commuter case with my 9630, I loved it however, it was VERY bulky! to much for my liking... but you could drop it off the top of the house on to cement and it would be fine

I bought the Commuter for my Tour and I love most things about it, but does anyone else feel that the plastic backing piece makes the phone more slippery? I feel the protection level is high, but I'm also more prone to dropping the phone, so it's a catch-22 situation.

OTTERBOX COMMUTER FTW! I'm using one for my 9700 right now, and it's the best case I've ever used! Doesn't add too much bulk, and it looks pretty cool! As said before, the little bulk it adds to the phone makes it more comfortable to hold, and for me, easier to type! Also, I've dropped this thing dozens of times from my desk onto laminate flooring (I know, I'm horrible), no damages.

I use my commuter in combination with the Bold 9000 holster, fits perfectly!

Also, it is easy to remove for charging cradles, etc.?
Yes, it's quite easy to take off. You shouldn't have any problems.

I guess it would make the phone a little more slippery, but most people prefer it when they're sliding it in and out of their pocket or holster. As opposed to a gel skin that would stick.

I had the commuter on my 9550 it it was not to bulky, I also had the defender and that is pretty bulky. I must say I was dissapointed with The defender because the case scarred my phone. I am now gonna go with a casemate for my 9650, but let me know how the commuter works for you!
