Remember the old style of case that would come with blackberries? I remember my Curve came with one. Just the leather sleave thing?
I work in the trades, so conditions can vary; often its dusty and dirty, so having it uncovered in my pocket is a bad idea. Often I pull it out and its covered in woodchips or drywall dust
Anyone know if I can still get these?!

I just did an ebay search for "BlackBerry Curve 8300 sleeve" and there are currently more than a dozen results for the OEM sleeve with sleep function and trackball groove. All around $5 base.

If you really love them, they're also available in lots of 10 to 10,000!!!

Ya but I need one for my 9700.
I have an old one from my 8300, and it doesn't seem quite long enough, and also does not autolock/unlock the phone

9700--I was confused by your user details (and I didn't look at the forum section.)

If you search ebay instead for "BlackBerry 9700 sleeve" there are results for sleeves which support the sleep function. As you probably know, it's simply a magnet hidden in the case fabric. Check that 'sleep function' or 'magnet' appear in the item descriptions. CrackBerry store must have some too, but I only checked e-bay.

The sleeve from the 8900 is a very good fit. I use mine all the time. The phones are ALMOST identical in size, so it works well.

I too work in construction so know what you mean, I was able to purchase the case locally at a fry's electronics for 9 bucks, and works great just like the one that came with my old 8320
