Hey guys, just bought a 9700 the other day, and on my old 8900 I bought a shiny black bezel off CNN.CN and it looks way better blacked out (kind of like the 9780 does)

Does anyone know what would be the best bezel to buy from experience or friends experience to get my 9700 to be blacked out similar to the 9780? (I'm just waiting for the 9780 to be released on AT&T and I hate chrome)

Would a OEM 9780 black bezel work on a 9700?


(I've never owned either phone or taken either one apart, hence my possibly stupid question)

Yes a 9780 bezel will work on a 9700.

One last stupid question:

Would a OEM whole casing for a 9780 work too, or is it just the bezel that fits together with the 9700? (I really would assume so, but I don't want to waste time and cash ordering without really knowing for sure)

You could paint over the chrome with non-glossy paint, but do so with care. It'll save from voiding the warranty when you change the housing (you take it apart to do so)
