Well since the phone hasn't officially released yet in stores, I had to go to Best Buy to get a skin, but I think the black silicone skin looks awesome with the black screen and key accents! Anyone else out there using skins on their new curves?

I have the same skin! I got it off of the Crackberry store. I love it! The only problem is it doesn't fit in the BB pocket that came with it, but I never really put it in that anyway...it's always in my hand. LOL

That skin is not made to fit an 8330, it's for an 8300. Looks ok I guess, but would look better with a proper fit.

Well they don't make a skin for the 8330 yet, only for the others, it fits fine except for the cut out at the top for the LED, but thats just one small detail. Other than that it looks great.

I am aware of this, but considering the sizes are identical and the only difference is the position of the LED in the top right, I don't see why you have to rain on my parade.

They all have the exact same measurements except the 8330 is 0.6 mm bigger in depth and it weighs .3 oz more.

BTW, VZW does have 8330 skins. Local store had them in stock since last Friday, so they do make them.

I put a silicone skin on mine as well but I hate it. Its much better to hold the curve bare coz you'll really appreciate its sleek and sexiness more.

Lol, nothing you say about my macbook is going to rain on my parade, as I love it just as much as my Curve.

Didn't when I got mine...and that would be YOUR local store, not everyones. And if you look at the skins on their website...they look exactly the same as the one on Crackberry's store, with the LED cutout at the top....

It looks nice, but I wish they had some kind of screen protector, maybe then I'd consider them. I bought the BB black swivel leather case for mine, have to protect my week old baby

Then they are the wrong skins. The 8330 skin fits perfectly on the phone. Please understand that I'm not raining on anyone's things, but only stating what I'm seeing. I can tell you that even though the dimentions "seem" the same, they are not exactly the same. To me the first pic makes the skin look stretched out at the top. If you look at the LED cutout it's wide-stretched. That's not what it looks like on a proper fitting Curve (8300). Could also be that it's not lined up correct, but I doubt that. I saw a skin today on an 8330 and it fit on perfectly, but it was the 8330 specific one. Give it some time, the other stores will get them in.

And to the OP, whatever you like is fine by me. It's your stuff, not mine. I'm a perfectionist so if I had to look at your Berry all day, I'd go nuts... fortunatly for you, you don't have that problem. Congrats again on your new toy.

Yes the VZW skins seem to work well... picked up a black one yesterday as well as a medium size Verizon PDA side case... they cut me a deal as I paid 29.99 for everything... it fits perfectly. If you're looking to use a silicon case, the VZW actual Curve case will not work (a little small for it), just an FYI for anyone who will not be going into a store to try it out. The medium PDA case was PERFECT for the phone though... very happy with both.
