Hope this is not too much of a newbe question. I'm a new blackberry user.
I have a Curve 8330 through Verizon.
I am successful in pairing my H700 headset but it only works with the phone functionality. When I play anything from the media player it will only play through speakerphone, I can select headset and will play through the earbuds but when I select handset with the bluetooth active it plays through handset but when I press the button on the bluetooth it will switch to the phone and the sound will switch to the bluetooth.

Am I missing something or does some headsets work in phone mode only.

Pretty sure this is common. You can get Bluetooth headphones and it should work for you.
