Can anybody help? I want to make a ringtone for my Blackberry Bold 9700, by cutting an existing mp3 file.
I had an iphone and could do it easily in about 30 seconds for that

thanks in advance for any help

You want to assign a song from your device to be your ring tone, OR you want to make a ring tone out of a piece of a song? To assign a song as your ring tone go to Options (the wrench icon), then Sounds & Ring Tones, then select Select Music, and pick the song you want. (You may have to navigate to it)

I use a combination of two programs. Audacity to edit the song, which will save the cut as an wmv, then Format Factory to convert it to an mp3. Two must have apps for the PC IMO.

Is it possible to do this with music on a 8330 curve?
On my boost mobile i856 I can take music from my mp3 files andset them asringtones and I can also set my voice records as ringtones. Does any know if you can do it with the 8330?

Yes a sound file of any sort will work, but I would edit a song down to about a 30 second clip.
