Can I simply drag and drop MP3 ringtones into the "ringtones" folder (by means of mass storage device)? I tried this but the ringtones don't appear in the standard ringtones folder. How do I find it?

Yup you can, that's how I add them. Make sure to look under all ringtones, they should show up then.

The ringtones didn't show up because apparently you have to unplug the phone from the computer before the phone can detect them in the "ringtones" folder.

Once I unplugged the phone the ringtones would be there with the rest of the "stock" ringtones. Thanks!

Either select it through the Sound profiles icon/set tones and alerts or find the song, highlight it and press Menu/set as ringtone.
