No case, no screen protectors...thrown in my pocket/laptop case/car all the time. Dropped numberous times and not one scratch on the screen. They are built for that.
I used the screen protector for the first month but I like the feel of the screen without the thick plastic on it. I have a plastic case i put on only when riding my bike with the kids or going to a stadium.
