I am going to make some custom ringtones from mp3 files for different callers in my address book. My question is; is there a certain length the ringtones should be, like 25 seconds or so?
I know I can download ones, just wanted to see if I could actually do one myself. I used Audacity to make a 26 second clip of an mp3 and exported it to another mp3.
Its not an issue!!! Making your own ringtones is fun!! I will never go to a website to make a ringtone. I use goldwave to edit the ringtones. I upload the ringtone with my DATA cable
Well, we have audacity and goldwave listed here as apps to make ringtones. My daughter wants me to make some tones for her LG enV from our MP3 files. Are these good options? Freeware? Pay?

Other options? Thanks!
Goldwave has a trial version that works great. I have had mine for years. I just ignore it when it tells me to buy it
The max amount of time the phone will ring before vm is like 22-23 seconds. Thawhat it worked out to be when I timed it a few years ago and still holds true today. I make mine 25 second for a round number

Thanks. I downloaded and have now tried goldwave. It seems there is a ton of functionality that I have barely started to use.
Question.....I know when you trim out you can get finer granularity on where to drag and set the markers. But can you manually enter a time? I have looked and looked and can't seem to figure that out.
