Is there anyway to "override" my individual contact alerts with a sound profile?
I want a profile where my all my calls have the same ringtone, instead of the individual ones that I've assigned certain contacts.
I've set all my contact alerts to "Active profile" but they still don't seem to follow the rules of my phone's profiles.

So, in your contact, you would have:

"Ring Tone": set to whatever custom sound

"Volume": set to Active Profile

"Play Sound": set to Active Profile

"LED": set to Active Profile

"Vibration": set to Active Profile

"Vibrate with Ring Tone": set to Active Profile

Correct? That's what I have mine set to, but if I have profile selected except for silent, and vibrate, it will ring with the sound that you chose if you have it set that way....I'm actually not sure that you can do what you're asking. Maybe somebody else will know?
