I tried to search for it with no luck so here:

I am new to Blackberry and while I was playing with my new tour it has a setting in the ringtones menu for vibrate while in holster. What is this and do I need to have a special holster?

Any holster, pouch or case which has an included magnet will work. The magnet is used to put the device into standby mode when holstered and also used to tell the device to enable any holster-specific settings.

This is correct but it needs to be made for the Tour. A case with magnet deisgned for the storm may not work
