My issue is this; I can't set the phone to not make any sounds for incoming messages (SMS, e-mail, etc...) while out of the holster. I want only the phone to ring while out of the holster. I don't have time to read through 421 pages of posts to get the answer I'm looking for. My carrier is verizon and my OS is 4.7.1.40......Thanks, I'm pulling my hair out
You should be able to go into the "profiles" area. It's denoted by a speaker icon on the desktop. Once there, make sure that you're on one of the icons that causes tones to be generated (ie. Loud, Medium). You can change it at this time.
For the future and for changing from tones to vibrate quickly, return to the desktop and hold down the 'Q' key which should change the profile over to whatever profile that was last used or to vibrate. Let me know if this doesn't solve your problem and I'll try to talk you through a bit more.
