Do you have password lock on the phone? Once you pull the phone out of the holster it will automatically open the newest message unless you turn it off in the messages options.

No I don't. If I have enabled do I have enter a password to unlock it everytime I take it out of the holster, or only if lock it manually?

Yes you will have to unlock it everytime you pull it out of the holster. Like I said just go into the Messages>BB button>Options>General Options and the scroll all the way to the bottom>Set auto open newest message to never. This is if you dont want to use a password.
