Sorry if this question has been asked before but is anyone using a holster with their commuter case?

If so which one and how is the fit? I broke my 9000 holster that I was using for the 9700 so not really sure what to go with now for this combo.

    Any help is appreciated thanks!

I am. It's a bestbuy platinum brand belt clip holster for the bold 9000. I relocated the magnet and it works perfectly witj the 9800 otterbox case. the platinum holster came with the beltclip and a cover for the 9000 and as I have the 9000 too it didn't go to waste.

anyone use the new oem holster for the 9800 with the otterbox? Just wondering if that's a good fit or not. Seems like a nice looking holster as well.

you need to alot some room for the Torch with the otterbox.
best bet is a 9000 holster..
xandermac idea seems to be the BEST at this time

The Otterbox Defender for my 9800 Torch fits perfect in my Bold 9000 case.
Curious-Anyway you can show us Bold 9000 case owners where you placed the magnet?

On this particular holster you peel up the black velvet backing stuff and move the magnet from bottom center, to middle center. then stick the velvet stuff back down (it's self adhesive).

I have used the BB holster for the 9000 for my 9800 in the otterbox commuter case. Fits like a glove and the magnet appears to be in the right spot; the screen turns off when you close it.

I'm not sure how your magnet works when it's in the default 9000 position.

    See photos.

    Bold 9000, Bottom Center
    Torch 9800, Middle Center

My unmodified 9000 holsters don't control the 9800 holster profiles.

I think you are mistaken as the only otterbox case for the Torch is the "Commuter" lol just letting you know

Thank you for pointing this out. I checked my paperwork and I do have the Commuter. Must have been a "Sometimer moment".

I used to have a Bold 9000 Defender case and holster. I picked up a Torch commuter case and it is much smaller than the Defender case, so I assume it fits the Bold Commuter case, not the defender? I love the Torch, just missing the holster part now.

Check the store stock to see which one has it. Out of all the stores near me, only one had it in stock. I think it's because it was on clearance in the store so I paid $24.99 instead of the $34.99 online price.

I'm using the 9700 holster and it works fine, the screen does turn off when I put it in the holster and it locks. The commuter I use when I'm not at work and don't want to use the holster. It is a pain having to remove. Going to see if I can get the clip from best buy.

xandermac, does the clip swivel? Looks like a great fit, but wow, $34.99 for a plastic clip?? Sadly, there don't seem to be many other options with the OB.

Yeah, the clip swivels. You should be able to find it cheaper than that because the bold 9000 is discontinued now. I got mine for $15 at best buy (something around there anyway).
