Hi everyone. this morning i ordered a Bold 9650 from Sprint. I am doing this to replace a Curve 8530. Now my question is this. I bought an official holster for the 8530, the packaging also said that the holster would work with the 9700 GSM version. does anyone know if the same holster will work for the 9650? Its the official blackberry holster with the magnet in it and everything. Thanks

My 9650 will fit in the holster that came with my 9700. Not a perfect fit -- it's a bit tight, but it will fit.

The 9650 is taller and wider than the 9700. There is enough stretch in the elastic sides of the 9700 case to accommodate the width.

The top strap is a bit short over the top. It does reach the magnet and will stay closed, it is just not the perfect fit.

I will tell you that every once in a while I pick up the 9700 case by mistake and it takes a few times before I notice that I have the wrong case -- but I do notice.

well according to what im seeing throughout the web...the 9650 should theoretically come with a holster...if it doesn't i'll see if this works. I know the 8530 is pretty tight in it too so I'll have to see I guess.

as said above... 9650 holster (the oe bundled one) goes higher... and it's wider... best to use the correct one, unless you don't mind poor fit...
