Will the Torch not fit in the RIM 9700 swivel holster? The dimensions are pretty darn close?
    Anyone tried it?

I just ordered the RIM holster from the CB store also. I have been using the OEM 9000 holster but it's not a very good fit. This one looks much better anyway.

Like I mentioned above, I used the 9700 case until I got the 9800 case and it works fine except for the sleep function.

I also used my 9700 case until the Torch OEM leather holster became available on this site.

You couldn't wait another week to get it from Mobile City for half that price?!?
There are some places that I am more than willing to pay a little extra money to. The Crackberry store is one of those places. The information that I've learned here is worth far more than the extra few dollars that I spent to get the case from here.

The fact that I'm going on vacation pretty soon and wanted to be sure to have a case that fits properly before I go also made it worth more money to buy it from the first place that it became available, which in this case, is the Crackberry store.

That's not the holster made for the 9000, but rather a generic BB OEM holster, I believe. No offense, but it reminds me of cellphone holsters from 10 years ago! But if it works for you, that's all that matters.
No offense taken. Whatever it is/was, it worked well for the Bold, and it works well for the Torch. It protects the screen, keeps it pretty secure, but it's still easy enough to take out and put in. The case that originally came with the Bold I never could stretch out enough to hold the phone without mashing the trackball and a key or two on the way in. Never could figure out the point of that.

Has anyone been able to confirm that the Canadian 9800 will have a holster included?

    @ Mikey

It was confirmed on the red board like 2 or so weeks ago. Although who knows, it may be as honest as Rogers release date.

Correct, this is the OEM 9000 holster, and it works perfectly with the Torch, although I hate holsters. Mine is still in the box.

You could have bought two crappy apps with that $6.
I could have ate a Big Mac too. Point is, I have the case and was able to get it when I needed it. It's worth the extra six bucks.
