What is your favorite case for the 8700 and why? Have you found the "perfect" case?

I actually dont carry mine in a case, but i used to love my plastic holster for the 7290...and whilst the case that comes in the box of the 8700...I havent ever used it......

I used that "new look" but as much as i love the BB - i like the used look now

When I had an 8700, I really liked the plastic holster cases from Seidio.

Mainly because of the 'sleep' option and it can be on my waist horizontally, or vertically...

When you talk of the plastic case, are you talking about the 'default' one?

I like this one, but since I work in I.T. am always under someone's desk, and am affraid that it will fall out, and break. Thus I use my trusty T-Mobile leather one. Now, when am at home, I use the plastic one...

Nav - That is the one, but i had it with the 7290...and it never once fell out..

You get used to it....but the 8700 does seem more fragile!

I havent seen one in the UK..

Sleeper magnet...I'm assuming the plastic holster that came with the 8700 has the sleep magnet function - anyone know for sure?

Have you tried Krussel, Fortte or Vaja (this one can be pricey)?

The 8700 plastic case does have the sleeper magnet, but I did not feel that it held my BB secure enough. I went with one from Seidio, and never thought twice about having my berry fall out.

Thanks, Kasper. For some reason the Seidio holster was a bit bulky for me. I'm still looking for very slim but secure. I had heard that the 8700 holster wasn't very secure...Still on the hunt

Cons: Fixed clip - doesn't swivel
No magnet for sleep activation

Pro: Easy to insert and remove BB
Slim form factor
Well made

Apparently, they have been selling like hot cakes because several sites that had them in stock, are now out of them.
