I bought a bundle package on ebay, the bundle consisted of the jelly case, travel charger and car charger for $10.

I just used the travel charger at my inlaws the other night and my storm just froze up.

I did a battery pull and it appeared that it was still feeling the effects of the travel charger.

Could a charger effect the performance of a phone?

Because of this, I'm not really liking my storm very much.

After I was finally able to un-freeze my storm, I reconnected it to the charger but my phone has about 2.5 battery bars right now.

i would never buy cheap stuff like that off ebay.. not for a nice phone like this. or any. sure, it might work..it might have a chip to prevent overcharging, but there is no guarantee.

for example. to me its peace of mind, knowing im not going to fry my phone. a cover is different.. but i'm also picky about those so i bought an invisible shield, but from what i hear, best skins ever makes a pretty decent one as well and is alot cheaper.

I would get rid the 3rd party accessories from experience. I bought a case along with a car and travel charger. Same thing happened to me- travel charger froze the unit. I bought an OEM charger and the unit worked fine.

    Hey everyone,

Thanks for your opinions/advice. I hope I didn't do any permanent damage to my storm.

I guess, I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and get an OEM travel charger... Shazbots!

didn't yours come with the travel charger adapters? I'm assuming you're talking travel overseas. And I refuse to buy ebay accessories...had too much bad luck...plus, places like best buy have chargers with lifetime warranties...or even the official blackberry ones. find a local retailer...pay the price for what you get.

Yes, it did but I just needed a spare... Lesson learned, you pay for what you get, but I do like the jelly case, so it wasn't a total loss, that's unless my phone has permanent brain damage.
