Does anyone know how to get videos off a comcast DVR? I have many shows recorded. The first season of "Breaking Bad", I have a season of "Robinhood", and several others. I just have to get them from the DVR to my computer. If anyone has done this already can you please give some info, thanks, P
well... i dont know of a way to extract the files from the dvr, BUT i know there is a device called the neuros that will record almost anything and convert it to any format you want... the last time i checked i think it was about $250.00
Check your DVR menu and see if there's a "Copy to VCR" choice; you can then take the output from the back of the cable box, route it to a video digitizer in your PC (even something like a WinTV card) and capture the video to your PC hard drive. You then need to transcode it to put it in the right format and pixel size to play on your BB.
Or use the same output to burn it to a DVD and rip the DVD on your PC
