I put on a black bezel with black buttons and I scrapped off the black paint and the charging pod will not work. Is it possible I scrapped too much and took off the coating that allows the connection to charge? and yes I checked, the charger is getting power

Switch your original bottom pieces onto your new bezel. I think the pieces that come with the black bezel will not work with the charger (pod i am assuming).

yea I knew they wouldn't work because they had been painted over. I figured if I scrapped the paint off I'd be okay.

Quick question how do those buttons come out. Are the glued in or just pry out with a little convincing.

Just pry em out, has worked for me so should work for you too. Just take your time.
