If the case extends do the back of the device to the bottom, it will NOT. The device fit snugly in the POD with zero room to spare. It would be nice if they made a version that stopped in the right place.
From looking at the images the case goes all the way down the back of the device and will not allow the POD to be used.
A deal breaker for me!

I can't help but think RIM would sell a lot more accessories if they made sure their own case would fit their own charging pod. I loved the charging pod on my 9000 and my 9650 and would love to get one for my 9900 but because it is so slim and I'm afraid to drop it, I want to use a case. Sigh...
yea, i love the look of the case, but the barely there cases on my old bold were a little tough to get off so it made using the charging pod difficult. I like the pod too much so i think i am just gonna stick with a silicon case which can slip on and off very easy so i can use the charging pod.
Not sure, but it's exactly where the backdoor flap is.
No the one at the bottom is for the speaker i'm on about the one just below the camera and flash cut outs there's a 3rd cut out there but can't see anything on the phone unless it's for NFC signal or something?

Could be cos there's nothing else there on the phone.
It looks like it will still work with the charging dock/pod
(might have to file the pod's opening a touch larger, but it should work since the charge contacts are showing nicely)
I'm going to order a brushed aluminum cover and give it a try
The OEM hardcase is not that bad. Sides have a grip texture, and back of the case is hard plastci with a design and the infamous BB logo. It goes arond the whole silver part around the phone. with cut out for the jack, usb charger, on the left. The buttons on the right hand side are covered with the grip material.
Pushing the buttons with the case on does not effect their performance.
