hey crackberrry community i have a question i have the 8830 we through sprint and i want a new case for it. i would like to know if the 8830 would fit in the iphone case by lrg and monster it can be seen here lrgisamonster.com if not anyone know any cases that would fit the 8830 in this style where it hangs from the belt loop. thanks

yea, any case make for any BB 8800 or 8820 will fit fine.

And I was answering your secondary question.

Your BB needs a case made for BB, because of this magnet that is sewn into the BB cases which put the BB in a standby state when in the holster.

The iPhone case does not have that. Use it, and you can kiss your battery usage goodbye.

but when i lock my keyboard the screen turns off is that not standby mode ? i also have a ppc so im use to low battery life, also thanks for your response
