I'm a new BB user, but I've had my eyes on the 9930 since it was first talked about! I got it about a week ago and I am nothing but happy. My only problem is if I should let the phone stay how it is; its natural beauty and sexyness, or if I should go out and get a case to preserve the device...jw what all u guys decided to do and maybe ill copy you're doing!

Mine with naked phone for 2months plus now ,droped it 2-3 times no scratch, but last week I have droped it against wood table and I see a little scratch on a bezel ,I fixed by using Brusso that use to romove scatch on steel surface and it fixed, and Battery cover also easy to scratch so now I am considering to order a hard shell oem
It does feel so nice when it's out of its case. But I'm afraid of scratches on the battery door, the screen and the brushed aluminum sides.
I've got mine in an Otterbox Commuter case.
It's up to you and past phone of you are more accident prone get a case of not ten rock it naked most of my phones I've ever owned always used em naked maybe a screen shield but that's about it just like the feel of the actual device vs. a case.
The OB Commuter case and Seidio Active holster. This is my sixth berry and the first to have a case before I even got it. The others suffered minor dings before gettong a case. I doubt any case would help if you run over your berry (inside Joke).
I just received my 9900 last week and have kept it "naked" thus far. This phone looks too good to cover with a case IMHO. That being said, I have ordered a few screen protectors and the OEM holster. That's it for me, for now. If it starts to get scratched up, I may go with one of the minimal cases offered like the Incipio feather series.
IMHO, Proporta makes the nicest, most durable leather cases that offer the best possible protection for any phone. The 9900/9930 case is located here and I think it's amazing. I have it on my iPhone and it has prevented the phone from cracking dozens of times.
For the BB 9900, though, I bought the Case-Mate Barely There Brushed Aluminum case and it's stunning!
I've got the commuter on mine. Nice case. I agree with everyone...the phone is sexy and a pleasure to look at. A shame to cover it up. For the first 5 days, while I was waiting for the commuter to arrive UPS, the phone was naked and I was careful. Even then, fine scratches in the finish of the faux carbon fiber became visible. That decided it for me. In terms of how the phone feels in the hand as a device to hold on to, I like the feel of the Otterbox better than the feel of the phone naked. It's kind of like those pretty models...all skinny...nice to look at but when it comes to being in bed some cushion is nice to the touch. Just my 2 cents.
