Is there a way to do this? I can't even get mine to play an animated gif so my guess is no but I know that some here know tips and tricks that I don't.

No, not natively anyway. There is a way to animate a wallpaper, but it must be done within a theme... this is how some theme builders used to make animated wallpaper themes back in the day for the 8xxx models.

Ah, ok cool. I figured out how to open them, just save them to the phone then open instead of opening straight out of the email.
