I bought the OEM holster for my Torch about 2 weeks ago. I have been using it daily and noticed today that the lining was coming unglued. I am a bit disappointed about this as I had bought from the Crackberry store previously and I was always happy with whatever I had bought.
I will go back to the old holster I had, an horizontal one for my 8900, until I find something here in Mexico city, where it can take a while to get accesories.
Anybody noticed the same thing on theirs? Maybe mine was the lemon one!
i have a BB holster that I bought about 2 yrs ago and it still looks good... you may be the one (un)lucky one that saved the rest of us from getting the lemon.
Mine is showing a little wear at the top edge of the holster backing where the device touches as it is removed and replaced. Overall, it is still fine. As some of upgrade so often, it should last that long. If it doesn't, I will replace the holster so that I have one as long as I own my Torch.
I have the pocket pouch and it too is coming apart at the top edge. I like the form better than my old Bold 9000 pocket pouch but it isn't made nearly as well. I had the pouch for the Bold for almost two years with no problems, this one began coming apart in lest than two months. It still works though.
I'm definitely not impressed with the holster. Considering they aren't giving them with the phone as a freebie anymore, you'd think they'd make sure the quality is good.
I have the one without the latch holster. I used it a few times, but it's too tight, because it's a pain to get the phone out and also putting it in. The stupid lock button on the top is also a horrible idea, especially having it so light to the touch, I keep clicking it, every time i push it in, and taking it out, I just cant' seem to get a good grip on the phone, I feel like I'm pulling the damn thing apart.
Although my Torch had excellent build quality while I owned it briefly. The holster was the exact opposite, so I'm not surprised to hear it's coming unglued so soon.
