    Hi,

I know there is already a bunch of people with these phones (testing, reviewing, etc).

Could any of these persons confirm if the accessories for the 9800 are compatible with the 9810? is the external design exactly the same? battery door interchangeable?

Basically I was about to buy a new seidio cases and a couple of porwermats for my torch and my wife's, but I will be probably upgrading them in a month once the 9810 comes out, was wondering if they will fit / work fine.

I know, I know, I should wait for it to be released, but if someone can confirm this it would be awsome....

    Thanks!

With all due respect... why did you post this equivalent of "Maybe, maybe not"?

What I would like to know from anyone that has BOTH the 9800 and the 9810 in their possession is whether the CHARGING DOCK / POD is 100% compatible. If the Micro USB port is 1 millimeter out of place, the answer would be "NO"... so are the ports positioned in the IDENTICAL positions? Is the external case basically IDENTICAL? If so, then cases, charging pods, mounts, etc should work.

Anyone? Anyone who works in marketing at RIM???

I've read elsewhere here on CB that there is 100% compatibility, cases, pod charger, etc., etc.

If you go to shopblackberry.com, you can see most accesories being posted as "9800/9810." This leads me to believe there won't be a difference accesories wise between the 9800 & 9810.

I only had one case & one holster, BB made, and they worked. Obviously not a totally complete response but these phones are literally exactly the same in every way I have seen.

Already?? This really makes me wish the max was 2 years for contracts in Canada so we can upgrade within a year instead of 2 years and a half :/

Update: form factor is supposedly identical, but I have to give my 9810 an extra little push to make the docking cradle "connect" and charge / sync the 9810 in my old 9800 cradle... so I wonder if POSSIBLY the micro USB port is a few microns out of alignment... but it still works.
