I went back to the 9800 after going through an army of problematic 9700's. I ordered a pocket holster (BlackBerry branded) and my 9800 fits snug but I am wondering if it will damage the phone at all if I continue to use it.
Will the snug fit damage the sliding mechanism over time? Or is the magnet location a cause for concern?

The magnets may not align properly not allowinh the Torch to behave as if it would in a pocket pouch for the Torch. You might be charging it more but the 9700 one should not damage it unless it is too snug.
