I am a relatively new Pearl 8130 user. I have a media card working (finally), but when I use the video camera, it will not save the video. I choose a filename, and it tells me the file is read-only and I cannot change the name. Thus, I have yet to save a video I have shot or even successfully play one back. Anyone have a quick step-by-step guide to shoot a video and successfully get it saved? THANKS IN ADVANCE!
I have this same problem. The video camera worked when I got the phone, but before I put Verizon's 2/26/08 service update on the phone. Since then it does not work.
I am now downgrading to the original version hoping that it works. Next I will try re-formatting the media card to see if that helps.
I was hoping someone else had seen this post, and already figured out the problem.

UPDATE: I figured out through trial and error, that after a software upgrade, a reformat of the media card fixed the problem. Don't forget to copy off any photo's etc, first.
