Hi all,
I was in the Crackberry store looking to buy a Seidio Rubberized hard case for my 8330. When I went to check out nd entered all my info, it came up with $45.95 shipping to Vancouver Canada! Have any other Canadians had to pay ridiculous shipping charges? Does anyone know why they are so high?
Needless to say, I didn't purchase the case and won't be purchasing any of my accessories at the Crackberry store until the shipping charges become reasonable.
One other question, does anyone know of a reputable website where I can purchase 8330 accessories and not be charged an arm and a leg for shipping? I checked Amazon.com but they didnt have teh color I was looking for (shipping was only $3.95 though)
I was on eBay once and was going to buy a 4GB microSD card for my phone. The card was selling for $15 (this was early last year), but when I went to do the purchase, the shipping to Vancouver, BC Canada was $39.95. I emailed the seller and said, "What gives? Surely you can just put it in a $1.99 bubble mailer and stick a $3.00 stamp on it. No way it should cost $40!"
Well, he had no response for me, so I just went to a store in Richmond and got the same card for $15 and maybe $5 in gas.
I found most places in the US shaft us hard for shipping. There are a few good ones out there though. I just bought a cheapo hard cover for my curve for $10 off egay and the shipping was free. A quick search came up with lots of Seidio's on ebay and the average shipping seems to be around $10.
Kevin is Canadian, but the Crackberry store is in Florida (I think). Any shipping from the states to Canada is nothing short of extortion. I will never buy anything online unless it is from a Canadian based warehouse (e.g., TigerDirect.ca).
It's a darn shame to see good deals all but lose all value because of these shipping costs.
