To clear any confusion, the digitizer was replaced in preparation for selling the unit. The digitizer is ontop of the LCD and was replaced by PDASmart.com

What exactly is a digitizer?

Piece of glass over LCD which recognizes the 'touch'.

why was the digitizer replaced?

Digitizer cracked from my 2.5 year old picking it up off a table when it was ringing and it dropped (in case) on floor. LCD is was not damaged, and PDASmart.com did a full evaluation and did the replacement installation.

UPDATE: This unit is now unlocked after receiving unlock code from Verizon.

Yes, phone is tested and confirmed to be working 100%. I will be happy to do a Skype video call with anyone to demo the device.
