AMOLED is the type of screen. The Incredible was initially released with an AMOLED screen and later it was released with an SLCD screen due to the high demand (and shortage of supply) on the AMOLED screens. In short, AMOLED is more superior than SLCD.

...and I had nothing I really disliked about the phone. I just recently upgraded to an iPhone is all.

I do remember the Incredible all but disappearing at one point, this must be when the screen issue came in to play!
