Let’s face it. Many of us have older hardware that we want to offload for a little extra spending cash (or perhaps to help pay for a new BlackBerry device or accessory). If this sounds like you, here’s some quick pointers to help you sell your stuff as fast as possible.

Include the original box with all contents if you still have. Your old hardware will be the buyers NEW hardware. Offering as much of that brand-new feeling as you can is important.

Add-in your accessories. If you have cases or other accessories you won’t need anymore, include them too. They’re not going to be any use to you anymore, and the buyer will appreciate it.

Offer a fair price. Your prospective buyer is very well aware of the current market for older hardware. Price accordingly. Of course, if you want a quick sale, lower your price. The lower you go, the faster you’ll sell.

Follow our Marketplace Rules & Guidelines. This is important. Provide as much info as possible so that there are NO SURPRISES. The buyer wants to know everything about your item, including how long you’ve had it, how you’ll ship it, pricing, etc. Including a picture (or many pictures) is a great thing too. Pictures sell.

Subscribe to your Marketplace thread. Make sure you subscribe to and monitor your ‘for sale’ thread. The quicker you can get back to prospective buyers, the better off you will be. The time to sell is when a potential buyer shows interest.

We recommend that you use a credited company, like PayPal for sending / receiving payments. With PayPal you can have some type of security. Do not use untraceable payments such as Money Gram when purchasing items.

The same goes for shipping items. Use companies like, UPS, FedEx, or USPS. They all provide tracking information, and offer insurance. Please be careful and do your research when shipping internationally. We suggest that you obtain the respective insurance to help cover your item(s) being shipped. And, ultimately covering you, the shipper...

Know ahead of time what you are getting into . We cannot take responsibility for any bad sellers or buyers. Be safe in the buying & selling market. Check the Marketplace Feedback Forum before conducting a transaction.

No users are permitted to post slanderous "warnings" or statements about other members either. You may PM a Moderator to handle the situation, but will not be permitted to publicly flame a person who has scammed you in a transaction.
