Funny, I have a unibody.. and I use firewire...
And I see it here as well...

I'll sell you a last gen 17in MBP with matte, and maxed out RAM as well as a 320 gig 7200 HDD and 2 years of apple care on it..

the MacBooks doesn't have it.. the links you posted are for the Pros (which only have FW800, FW400 has been dropped from everything).

I have a white Penryn Macbook. I like the look of the new unibodies but I'll probably wind up going for a Pro. It's nice to have firewire for large file transfers (tens of gigabytes), brain transplants to new machines, etc.

Somebody mentioned the mac users don't hide thread. All the months I've been coming here I never read it. If I was looking for AA meetings I'd probably have gone looking in that thread. As it is, being a Mac user with nothing to hide, this thread caught my eye while the other thread did not.

Hi r0k. Both threads are pretty much the same. That one was created to bring Mac users together and share.

LMAO!! I didn't say it- you did.
Neither of those are specific to the type of Mac you're using.

    Actually, yes, I use FW.

The LACK of that option (and yes, it's an option) completely made the new MBs NOT an option when I get a new Macbook.

Also, thanks to the poster who offered the 17". That's a little large for me, as even going from the 13.3" MB to a 15.4 MBP is gonna be a stretch for my sleeve/bag/napsack/portfolio purse, etc.

    Plus, that thing is HUGE!

The first thread asks the question, but with a lot of beating around the bush with random stuff (not as to the point).

    Second is for questions.

I'm interested what Mac you're using. Not when you switched, not if your dad convinced you to, just what you're using.

    2.53ghz Core 2 Duo
    4gigs of memory
    512mb Nvidia 9400+9600GT
320gig 5400RPM HDD (chose the stock drive over the 250gig 7200rpm since the higher data density of the 5400 320gig made up for the lack of RPM.

To tether I use Verizon's VZAM software and it works fine on 10.5.6 Leopard.

I am tossing my BB soon. Treason I know.. But I am sick of the Mac / BB experience. IPhone software 3.0 out this summer has convinced me to join the "glass tappers"... Something might change my mind between now and August.. But I doubt it

Casper, I indeed enjoyed my iPhone/Touch/Mac experience. They work together flawlessly. BB/Mac horrible; simply horrible!!!
