I'm using the new iMac. Love it. I also use a Macbook Pro that's about a year 1/2 old.

White 2.4Ghz MacBook fully loaded at purchase point. Looking to put in a 500GB SeaGate later once I fill the current 250GB. Use Bluetooth mainly, because I've got Google syncing everything else.

The 17 is tempting, but for the first time ever I've bought AppleCare (my 1 year was just about to expire) - so, hopefully I'll have this one another 2 years.. that'll give me time to save up for a 17" (and convince my wife why I "need" it) - or they'll realize there actually is a market for 15" matte screens and start selling them again.
While they are at it, they can re-think the black keyboard.

    I love my pre-unibody MBP!

Mine are in my sig, but AWFULLY tempted to hunt down a refurb last-gen MBP 15" matte, with dedicated graphics.

Can't say I'm a fan of the new unibodies. Lack of firewire in the new MBs killed it for me.

The person above me said that new the lack of firewire in the new MBs killed it for him. I asked him if he used firewire a lot and you quote me saying you do. I don't get that?

I have a white book so I'd have no idea whats on the unibodies. I think the person you should have quoted was the person above me who made the lack of firewire comment.

I still use a usb dongle for internets. It's easier to take with you and if someone needs the net, they can use the usb easier then the card slot.

I'd actually prefer express so I wouldn't have to constantly remove it like I have to do for USB. As far as someone else needing internet access, most laptop users I know have express slots- then again, I'm not all that concerned if they need the internet.....No seriously; I'm not.
