Upgrade to 10.5 or try Pocket Mac.

FYI - I researched both options (upgrading to 10.5 or buying PocketMac) and figured out that I could upgrade my MacBook to 10.6 for the same price PocketMac would have cost me.

I bought Snow Leopard for $30 and now I have an upgraded MacBook with a sync'd BlackBerry Bold and I'm happy

Yes. The $30 "upgrade" disc will work with INTEL-based Macs running Tiger.

QFT. I upgraded my girlfriends' mothers' iMac running Tiger with the Snow Leopard Upgrade disc that was $29.99. Now the Magic Mouse we bought her for Christmas will actually work!

The Mac "Snow Leopard" OS disk is deceptively thought of as an upgrade disk however it will install the complete OS on any INTEL computer Mac computer with an Intel processor and 1GB of memory and 5GB of available disk space and a DVD drive for installation

The standard cost is $29 however it can be had for $24 on Amazon....at least when I got it upon release

True but it is against the EULA to install the $29 version on anything but a Leopard upgrade. FWIW.

Tis may be true but not everyone cares aside from if it will properly install a complete version....and it does

Even steve jobs acknowledged that this works. It may not be 'right' but it's cheap.

This is great to hear. I'm in the same situation as the OP and didn't want to spend all the money if I didn't have to, so I've been putting off an upgrade. Probably going to purchase this upgrade very soon and be able to finally use DM.

    *update*
Just got my Snow Leopard disk and upgraded yesterday, so far it's working great and I love it. Awesome info. I'm broke so the $30 upgrade is great. If anyone is looking at doing this I highly recommend it. Awesome to finally have DM and be able to use it. Feels good to have an actual backup of my BB
