    Blackberry.com says that the 8530 is Mac compatible "out of the box," as long as you download the software for your Mac. Has anyone tried it? There is a review on Verizon's website that says it doesn't work, but I don't know that the user had the appropriate downloads installed.

    For what it's worth, I have the 8520 and the DM for Mac has worked fine for me

    I have major issues with any claim that X works with Mac straight off. In this instance, lots of DM for PCs functionality is missing, you can't do any kind of OS update, no iPhoto support...

    But technically, it does work 'out of the box' (after DM for Mac' download).

    I have a 8520 and it works with my mac's so i believe 8530 would also work seeing that 8520 & 30 are bros
