I just got a blackberry 8130 pearl today and I have no clue how to get it to go onto the internet. I read through the book that came with it, and it says something about installing the accompanying CD to my computer and running it to get the browser to work on the phone...

BUT I HAVE A MAC. and the CD doesnt run on my mac.

how do i visit webpages and get my blackberry to get onto the internet? i can receive e-mails, but can't browse web pages??

yeah i click on the browser icon and then i hit the button with all the dots on it, and it says there should be something that says "go to" so i can type in an address, but there is no "go to" option. also, whenever i receive emails website links dont show up as links, they're just letters and i can't click on them or anything

go to the verizon bis site and send your service books you don't need to be hooked up to the comp for that

The website is usually something like www.verzion.blackberry.com. If you go there and sign in you can push service books to yourself. Do you have a regular data plan? If you have something like an email only plan verizon will block your browser service books.

You might want to delete the browser service books first too. Sometimes if they are corrupted they won't overwrite properly

If you go into options > advanced options > then service books. Then just delete anything with browser in the name. To delete it you highlight it, push the menu button (the one with all the dotts on it next to the trackball) and select delete. then pull the battery and resend your service books from your BIS site.
