Simplest way is to use a virtual windows environment.
Or find a friend with a PC.

It cannot be done using OS X. You need to run Windows using Parallels or Bootcamp.

since i own a Mac as well..
best way to do it is borrow a friend's PC..
    it's easier that way.
unless you want to run bootcamp or parallels on your Mac

yep as stated, and even with parallels my MBP would put out enough juice thru the USB to install the software.

As a longtime Mac owner and user I second the advices above. Most times I use a work PC for OS change. Also have a Windows partition on the home Mac laptop. Both Windows ways work well but overall BB DM and Mac do not play well together.

So if I update to the latest OS 6 for my torch, I do it on a PC and then it'll work with my desktop manager on my Macbook after that?
